Our school is used as a training school by a number of further education providers.

Initial Teacher Training

The Somerset Partnership Teaching School  consider the experience we offer to Initial Teacher Training students to be of the highest quality. As a school we have a deep commitment to the continuing professional development of all staff. By mentoring and working alongside trainees we are able to examine our own practice, reflect on teaching and learning and can share in the enthusiasm and fresh ideas the trainees bring.

Other Trainees

We have a number of students each year from Strode College and Somerset Skills and Learning. Among the courses we support are Apprenticeships, Childcare, various NVQ qualifications in working with children and Teaching Assistant training. 

We are also an annual provider of work experience for students from Ansford Academy.
